What do you get when you have around 40 Z car enthusiasts driving around the backroads of North Georgia with poor directions, looking for obscure clues? A great afternoon.
We gathered together in Canton to receive directions from Robert. He was expecting 7 or 8 cars, and we more than doubled that amount. Fortunately, he had plenty of extra copies.
After getting the directions, we set off one car at a time until Robert remained in the parking lot.
Some people were carefully documenting the answers to the clues, driving back to find what Robert was talking about. Others were doubling back because they took a wrong turn when they followed the directions. And the rest of us would follow the directions as we wanted but didn’t mind breaking off to find the destination at Charlie’s Italian Restaurant in Elijay. All but Matthew managed to find the end point. Never fear, though. Even Matthew found his way back to civilization.
After we finished eating a late lunch and laughed about our drive, some of us made our way back home while others gathered at a local watering hole in Elijay.
Good job, Robert. We were all entertained. Maybe we can get 60 cars out there next year.
